For Cybersecurity & Financial Access Rights Management, RadiantOne a Key Component in NIST/ NCCOE Architecture

Radiant Logic (www.radiantlogic.com), the market-leading provider of federated identity solutions based on virtualization, today announced that its flagship product, RadiantOne FID, was included in The National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE)'s best-of-breed reference architecture for Access Rights Management (ARM (News - Alert)) in the financial services sector.

Under the auspices of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), NCCoE worked with experts from the financial services sector and technology partners to develop a Practice Guide for the financial services industry that featured a best-of-breed ARM reference architecture.

"The challenge is maintaining a high level of security in the face of near-constant change," says Doug Simmons, Principal Consulting Analyst and Managing Director at TechVision Research. Common scenarios that require changes to a user's access privileges include hiring a new employee, reassigning an existing employee, and deprovisioning an employee upon departure. "This process is more difficult when your infrastructure is distributed and heterogeneous," says Simmons.

The reality is that today's large financial organizations often have identity infrastructures made up of many diverse types of identity data stores. Identity data and management tasks could be spread across an array of business units, including HR, IT, and regulatory departments. Because of this complexity, changes to user's access rights often require manual and custom coding, both of which are expensive, time consuming, and could introduce errors.

The NCCoE addressed these challenges by including adiant Logic's federated identity and directory service, RadiantOne FID, in its ARM reference architecture. "We are pleased to be included along with Splunk (News - Alert), HyTrust, NextLabs, AlertEnterprise, Vanguard Integrity Professionals, and TDi Technologies. These best-of-breed solutions are available today and the ARM architecture shows how they work together to provide a higher level of security, while improving flexibility and speed for financial institutions," says Michel Prompt, CEO and Founder of Radiant Logic.

RadiantOne FID boosts the security and the speed of identity infrastructures by using the power of virtualization to integrate all of a user's identity data from across diverse identity stores to create an identity hub with a complete profile for each user. RadiantOne is the key identity layer to provide faster and stronger authentication and smarter authorization for large corporations and organizations.
