Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Village Releases Agenda for Hack the Capitol 2018


The Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Village, a not-for-profit organization with a mission to equip industry and policymakers to better defend industrial equipment through experiential awareness, education, and training, announced the agenda for its upcoming Hack the Capitol conference, September 26-27 in Washington, D.C. Hack the Capitol will provide hands-on education and awareness to congressional staffers, think tanks, and press.

"Hack the Capitol is the first event of its kind, which will raise awareness of the nation's challenges with critical infrastructure, and constructively provide kinesthetic learning at multiple levels," said Bryson Bort, Co-Founder of the ICS Village and Founder and CEO of SCYTHE. "We are bringing together some of the top experts to educate how to bridge the gap between security and critical infrastructure."

The event on Wednesday, September 26 will brng together congressional staffers and think tanks and focus on presentations, workshops and hands-on exhibits, while the morning of Thursday, September 27, will offer hands-on exhibits and seminars targeted explicitly for members of the press. Keynote speakers on Wednesday include Representative Jim Langevin, U.S. Representative for Rhode Island's 2nd congressional district and Representative Charles Albert "Dutch" Ruppersberger III, U.S. Representative for Maryland's 2nd congressional district.
