Grant Thornton to discuss the future of data privacy at the 2018 Fast Company Innovation Festival

Grant Thornton (News - Alert) LLP:

WHAT: As companies strive to be more innovative, they are increasingly tapping into their customers' personal data. At the same time, consumers are demanding increased privacy. The dichotomy is creating one of the defining issues of our time: digital trust.

Derek Han, cyber risk principal and data privacy specialist at Grant Thornton LLP, will lead a panel - The Economy of Trust: How Data Privacy Is Driving Innovation - examining how digital trust is shaping the economy and driving innovation. The panel will explore strategies that businesses can use to be more nimble with their data management strategies, while also maintaining their customers' trust.

Presented by Grant Thornton, Han will be joined by William Min, deputy general counsel and chief privacy and data governance officer at Western Union, and Mathew Newfield, chief information security officer at Unisys (News - Alert) (DC).
