Course Hero Inducts Dr. Maria Trujillo into Master Educator Program


REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Oct. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Course Hero, an online learning platform where members can access over 20 million course-specific study resources contributed by a community of students and educators, today announced that Georgetown University's Maria Trujillo, PhD, has been added to the ranks of distinguished educators that comprise Course Hero's Master Educators.

Dr. Trujillo is the Faculty Director and Associate Professor of the Practice in the Systems Engineering and Technology Management Programs at the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies. She has previously served as Deputy Director of Capacity Development for a USAID-supported global project aimed at providing technical support to the countries receiving grants from the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria. She was also known as the "Internet Girl" for her work in connecting Colombia to the Internet in 1990.

Master Educators are featured in Course Hero's micro-documentary series highlighting teaching excellence in higher education. Dr. Trujillo's film focuses on how she draws on her Colombian heritage to illuminate concepts in technology for developing countries.
