Rigrodsky & Long, P.A. announces that it is investigating potential legal claims against the board of directors ("Board") of Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited ("Aspen" or the "Company") (NYSE: AHL) related to the Company's entry into an agreement to be acquired by affiliates of certain investment funds (the "Apollo Funds") managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management, LLC (together with its consolidated subsidiaries, "Apollo") (NYSE: APO) in a transaction announced on August 28, 2018 (the "Proposed Transaction").

On August 28, 2018, the Board caused Aspen to enter into an agreement and plan of merger (the "Merger Agreement") with Apollo. Pursuant to the terms of the Merger Agreement, shareholders of Aspenwill receive $42.75 in cash for each share of Aspen common stock.



On October 22, 2018, Aspen filed a preliminary proxy statement ("Proxy Statement") with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC (News - Alert)") in connection with the Proposed Transaction, which recommends that Aspen's shareholders vote in favor of the Proposed Transaction.
