"But, with a December 31 application deadline looming for several WGU scholarships, it would be wise for current and future WGU Ohio students to prioritize this simple task that could lead to long-term benefits." The nonprofit, accredited, online university is offering scholarship opportunities to Ohioans who want to earn a bachelor's or master's degree in high-demand fields such as IT, business, K-12 education, and health professions, including nursing. Scholarships also are available for veterans, military service members, and their families. All WGU programs are competency-based, providing the flexibility contemporary students need. At WGU, students can start a degree program at the first of any month of the year. Designed to meet the needs of adult learners, competency-based education allows students to take advantage of their knowledge and real-world experience to move quickly through material they already know so they can focus on what they still need to learn.
