"Curbing pollution is the issue of our generation. Central to our mission at Lime is providing first and last mile solutions which are carbon free, enhance eco-friendly transportation use, and hasten the transition from the burdens of car ownership and use," said Toby Sun, Lime CEO and co-founder.

Ms. Browner has held top environmental leadership positions at the federal and state level, and carries a domestic and international reputation for building business-savvy health protections that ensure a safe environment and a strong economy. She is a former director of the White House Office of Energy and Climate Change Policy in the Obama administration, EPA administrator for the Clinton administration and a founding member of global strategy firm The Albright Group. She was also Secretary of Environmental Regulation in Florida. Currently, Ms. Browner is Chair of the Board for the League of Conservaion Voters and a Senior Counselor at Albright Stonebridge Group.

In light of the recent report published by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), it is even more imperative that mobility companies and cities work together to take action on climate change. In the U.S., transportation emissions are the single largest carbon-producing economic sector (source). In both operating a carbon neutral fleet and advancing mode-shift in cities to zero-emissions transportation, combating pollution is central to Lime's mission.

"If we are serious about addressing the carbon pollution that contributes to climate change we need dedicated and smart businesses like Lime offering creative solutions. Lime Green is an innovative approach to achieve business operations sustainability and zero emissions from generation to consumption for a business dedicated to reducing pollution from the transportation sector, easing congestion and protecting our air. I am proud to join Lime as its first sustainability-focused advisor and look forward to working with the team to meet our sustainability objectives and inspire others to take action," said Browner.

Throughout her career, Ms. Browner has demonstrated an ability to marry progressive sustainability goals with business goals, and Lime is looking forward to leaning on that expertise as the company builds its Lime Green initiatives across the globe.
