Experienced Corporate Attorneys Join Halloran Farkas + Kittila LLP


The national corporate, litigation and IP law firm Halloran Farkas + Kittila LLP just announced that Julia Y. Chang and Mark D. Hobson have joined HFK. Each of their practices supports other HFK lawyers in their locations as well as the firm as a whole.

Mark D. Hobson is a corporate, M&A and securities lawyer with over 24 years' experience advising diverse clients in sundry industries and activities. His career commenced in São Paulo, Brazil, working first in private practice and then in-house at "Banco Citibank"; in 1998, he moved to Miami and worked for 12 years with the oldest law firm there and then over 3 years with a boutique firm, before establishing Hobson Firm in July 2014. Mr. Hobson earned a B.S. in Marketing and Management, a J.D. from The Florida State University College of Law and an LL.M from Vrije Universiteit Brussel in Belgium, and is admitted to practice in Colorado and Florida.

Before joining HFK, she worked in the San Francisco Bay Area for Genentech, Inc. and later for Carr & Ferrell LLP, specializing in IP law, patent prosecution, litigation and corporate law. Ms. Chang received her degrees in Biology and Political Science-Public Law from the University of California, San Diego, and her J.D. from the Golden Gate University School of Law, San Francisco, with a Certificate of Specialization with Distinction in Intellectual Property. She is admitted to practice in California and Washington, D.C. and is eligible to practice before the USPTO. Ms. Chang is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese, and conversant in French.
