KenSci expands engineering leadership with key hires from Cerner, AWS, Oracle, Tableau


SEATTLE, Jan. 23, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- KenSci, a machine learning platform for healthcare, today, announced four strategic hires to bolster its engineering leadership. Together, they bolster KenSci's market leading capabilities in AI with deep expertise across healthcare and enterprise cloud platforms. Fueled by strong customer demand for its enterprise AI platform and explainable AI models, KenSci has doubled in size in the past year. Voted as one of Best Companies to Work for, KenSci is looking to expand rapidly across US cities as well as in UK, Singapore and India.

The new hires include, Sudarshan Chitre, Former Vice President of Engineering, Oracle; Ryan Brush, Former Distinguished Engineer, Cerner; Neelesh Kamkolkar, Former Lead of Product Management, Tableau; and Tim Kellogg, Former Senior Software Engineer, Amazon Web Services.

Sudarshan Chitre: Sudarshan brings with him 20 years of experience building software for enterprise and consumers. In his career, he has had the opportunity to lead teams of exceptional engineers to build v1 cloud platform services for Azure (HDinsight) and AWS (Internet of things). Previously Sudarshan was the Vice President of Engineering at Oracle. He was the technical co-founder of Brimbee and held various roles at Amazon. He began his career at Microsoft where he spent 16 years.

Ryan Bush: Ryan spent the last several years on data engineering, analysis, and the application of very large healthcare datasets at Cerner. He created Clara, an open source rules engine, Bunsen, an open source library for large-scale analysis of FHIR datasets, and has spoken at conferences including Strata, Strangeloop, ApacheCon, FHIR DevDays, and others. Ryan has also contributed chapters to the books 97 Things Every Programmer Should Know and Hadoop: The Definitive Guide.



Neelesh Kamkolkar: Neelesh brings over 15 years of experience building platforms, solutions and services in the enterprise and cloud. Most recently, he led enterprise product management at Tableau Software where he built a platform that has enabled data analytics to be accessible to everyone in a secure, scalable way. He volunteers via TEALS to teach computer science to high school kids.

Tim Kellogg: Tim brings with him over a decade of experience and most recently worked with Amazon Web Services as a Senior Software Engineer. As an experienced full stack software engineer with a proven track record of building performance-critical systems, Tim brings a comprehensive knowledge of garbage collection and JIT compilation in .NET that he leverages to build scalable applications in C#.
