ISACA Introduces COBIT 2019 Training Resources

Following its release of the COBIT 2019 framework late last year, ISACA has now introduced updated training options.

Educational resources across a variety of formats have been created to help professionals become fully versed in the updates in COBIT 2019, designed to help enterprises govern information and technology based on their specific goals and needs. These training options include:

Additionally, a bridge exam is available for those who already hold a COBIT 5 Foundation Certificate. Those who pass the Bridge Exam will be awarded the COBIT 2019 Foundation certificate.

"This next stage for the COBIT fraework is an exciting one, offering enterprises even more relevant guidance in the face of today's technology, governance and management practices, issues and challenges," said Mark Thomas, a COBIT trainer and founder of Escoute Consulting. "This range of training opportunities ensures that professionals have a seamless transition in realizing the benefits that COBIT 2019 offers."

COBIT 2019 training is led by training partners and organizations accredited by ISACA's partner, APMG.

Noted Richard Pharro, CEO of APMG, "ISACA and APMG have enjoyed a close collaboration since 2013. ISACA's choice of APMG as its exclusive accreditor for COBIT 2019 adds to this already strong relationship." He added, "APMG's rigorous accreditation standards are integral to maintaining the high quality of training which will equip information and technology professionals with the most current knowledge in enterprise governance."

COBIT 2019 helps enterprises govern information and technology-from a single project-based implementation, to use by a particular team or business unit, to full, enterprise-wide implementation. Among the updates in COBIT 2019 are new design factors that help organizations tailor COBIT to their specific needs, integration of the CMMI Institute's Capability Maturity Model Integration, and three new management objectives.
