OBIO Announces National Call to Canadian Health Science Companies for Applications for the 2020 Niagara Investment Summit


The OBIO 2020 Niagara Investment Summit national call for applications from health science companies that are seeking Series A or beyond investments is now open.

On February 5-7, 2020, the Summit will bring 30 of Canada's most promising health science companies to Niagara-on-the-Lake to present to and meet with top-ranked global investors. The Summit will also feature keynote presentations from world-leading scientific and business experts.

We are looking forward to bringing the world to Canada's doorstep."

The theme of the 2020 Niagara Investment Summit is the Future of Medicine. In company presentations & one-on-one meetings, the Summit will highlight Canada's most investable health sciences companies across therapeutic, medical device, diagnostic & digital health sectors.

Presentation spots are limited. Companies interested in presenting to investors should submit an application at obioinvestmentsummit.com. Companies must include a non-confidential investor pitch deck, demonstrating the company's investor readiness and fit within the theme of the Summit. Initial review of applications by an expert selection committee will begin August 8, 2019, and applicants will be notified of results by mid-September 2019. Applications submitted after August 8, 2019 will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Companies are encouraged to apply early, since presentation spots and travel awards are limited. Travel awards are only available to companies based outside of Ontario to defray travel costs.



Selected companies are responsible for the conference fee of $2,500 which includes:

  • Full registration for one company representative including two nights' accommodation
  • An opportunity to pitch and hold one-on-one meetings with leading global investors
  • All meals for the duration of the conference

  • Companies with operations in Canada focused on developing health science products or services including but not limited to therapeutics, medical devices, diagnostics, or digital health which fit into the themes of the 2020 Niagara Investment Summit.
  • Companies with operations in Canada seeking to raise Series A and beyond investment.
