Florida International University College of Business Selected as Host for World's Leading International Business Conference

Florida International University's College of Business (FIU Business) has been selected as the host college for the 2020 Annual Meeting of the Academy of International Business (AIB), the leading not-for-profit professional association of scholars and specialists in the field of international business.

Widely recognized as the top conference in the field of international business, the AIB Annual Meeting takes place in a different worldwide location each year and is attended by 900 to 1,200 delegates. Most delegates are academics, who are joined by industry and NGO participants. Recet conferences have taken place in Beijing, China; Milan, Italy; Nagoya, Japan; and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The 2020 conference will take place July 2 - July 6. As the conference's host college, FIU Business will organize a number of conference events and activities, most notably the AIB Gala Dinner on July 5.

"FIU Business is deeply honored to be selected as the host college for the world's most renowned annual conference in the field of international business, last held in Miami nearly 30 years ago," said Joanne Li, dean of FIU Business. "This honor reflects Miami's growing reputation as leading global business center and our own growing reputation as a leader in international business education and research."

The most recent U.S. News and World Report college rankings place the FIU Business undergraduate international business program at No. 2 in the U.S. and its international MBA program at No. 12 among U.S. programs. The college is also home to a Center for International Business Education and Research, one of just 15 such centers funded by the U.S. Department of Education nationwide and the only one in Florida.
