Centrify's Rashmi Garde Honored as a California Leader in Tech Law and Innovation

Centrify, a leading provider of cloud-ready Zero Trust Privilege to secure modern enterprises, today announced that Rashmi Garde, general counsel for the company, has been recognized as a 2019 "Women Leader in Tech Law" by The Recorder, a Law.com publication. She was honored in The Recorder's California Leaders in Tech Law and Innovation Awards program, which celebrates the achievements of lawyers, law firms and legal teams in California leading the way in technology and innovation.

"It's truly an honor to be recognized as a leader in tech law, particularly as one of 21 women acknowledged by The Recorder as outstanding contributors in our field," said Garde. "To be included amongst such an esteemed list of law practitioners working to advance our profession through innovation is inspiring, especially in a dynamic field like cybersecurity."

As general counsel for Centrify for the past four years, Garde has helped guide the company through an equity financing resulting in the sale of a majority interest to private eqity firm Thoma Bravo, and the subsequent spinout of a stand-alone Identity-as-a-Service company called Idaptive. These accomplishments were among those cited by The Recorder in its selection of Garde.

"I'm pleased to see Rashmi recognized for her outstanding counsel and guidance through significant company milestones over the last four years," said Tim Steinkopf, CEO at Centrify. "She always brings a perspective of careful consideration and clarity to the table as a valued voice on our leadership team. Her status as a leader in tech law and innovation comes as no surprise to those of us who have the pleasure of working with her."

The California Leaders in Tech Law and Innovation Awards is an annual program run by The Recorder, a Law.com publication. The awards honor the California law firms, legal departments and lawyers whose work is focused on tech companies and issues with an eye toward those who are moving the profession forward through innovation, as well as honoring the Women Leaders in Tech Law that are instrumental to the state's thriving technology sector.
