StorONE's Storage Software Platform Earns Microsoft Certification After Successfully Completing Windows Compatibility Testing

StorONE today announced that it has proved interoperability with Microsoft (News - Alert) Windows after successfully testing its S1 TRU™ Software Defined Storage platform as part of the Windows Hardware Compatibility Program. This certification is an extension of StorONE's commitment to providing enterprise-class storage, high performance, complete data protection and no performance degradation regardless of hardware or protocols.

The Windows Hardware Compatibility Program is designed to help companies deliver systems, software and hardware products that run on Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2019 with a focus on ensuring compatibility, interoperability, security and reliability. StorONE certified S1-based SCSI disk drives through the program; earning designation that its software has been vetted by Microsoft to ensure that it meets Windows quality standards.

StorONE's patented storage software platform technology can support multiple enterprise functions and can be used as an all-flash or hybrid array, virtual storage, secondary storage, or cloud storage, and supports all protocols (block, file and object) in a single software solution that includes all enterprise class data protection and data retention for all use cases. StorONE's S1 TRU SDS offers complete flexibility with the ability to mix and match drives allowing users for the first time t adopt the latest disk innovations as they come to market, eliminating the need for future planning.

"Certifications, like the one we received from Microsoft, are further proof that our platform adapts to all application upgrades without the need to install proprietary drivers on the host or change any configurations," said Gal Naor, StorONE co-founder and CEO. "This means no more headaches for enterprise IT as they can simply get high performance results from their Windows-based solutions by installing S1. This is where we excel."

StorONE's relationship with Microsoft is one of many technology relationships the company has achieved. Other partners include Dell, Intel, Lenovo, Mellanox Technologies, Micron, Oracle, Red Hat (News - Alert), Seagate, SuperMicro, VMware and WD.
