Penn Mutual Asset Management Launches New Balanced Income Mutual Fund

Penn Mutual Asset Management (PMAM), a registered investment advisory firm and wholly owned subsidiary of The Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company (Penn Mutual), announces the launch of the Penn Mutual AM 1847 Income Fund (the "Fund"). PMAM chose to launch the Fund as a series of The Advisors Inner Circle Fund III.

The Fund will be managed by a team of seasoned portfolio managers with experience in both fixed-income and equity investing. George Cipolloni III, CFA and Mark Saylor, CFA, a team with a long-standing track record of success in the balanced income category, will be joined by Greg Zappin, CFA and Scott Ellis, CFA. With extensive experience in high-yield investing, Zappin and Ellis bring complementary skill sets to round out the team.

"In the face of economic uncertainty and volatile markets, investors are looking for solutions that could offer consistent income, while attempting to mitigate risk," said Mark Heppenstall, CFA, chief investment officer at PMAM. "Our new balanced income fund is designed to meet the evolving needs of institutional investors and will complement our existing suite of fixed income offerings."

The Fund will attempt to deliver positive, risk-adjusted returns from both security selection and asset allocation. The bottom-up, value investment process is intended to be opportunistic in its search to build a portfolio of income-producing securities. It will employ a flexible asset allocation strategy which will be dyamic and based upon the manager's view of risk and reward within the context of the value-based investment process. Within the income investable universe, the portfolio managers seek to identify the best combination of sustainable income/yield and total return potential relative to downside risk.

With over $29 billion in assets under management, PMAM is focused on risk-based institutional asset management, advisory and investment operation services. The firm is dedicated to creating value for their clients through a prudent, thoughtful and rigorous investment decision-making process.
