Genesis Appoints Dr. Derar Islim as Chief Operating OfficerGenesis, an industry pioneer and leader in digital currency prime brokerage services, today announced it has named Dr. Derar Islim as Chief Operating Officer. As the firm's first Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Islim will assume the role effective immediately. Dr. Islim joined Genesis in May 2020 as the firm's Vice President and Head of Business Development. As COO, he is responsible for managing strategic initiatives, integrating new services, coordinating daily business operations, and executing on Genesis's global vision to build the world's preeminent prime brokerage in the digital currency ecosystem. Dr. Islim is a Fulbright Scholar and earned his doctorate in financial mathematics with a focus on the pricing and hedging of financial drivatives.
