Christopher Perkins Joins Academy Securities' Advisory Board


Academy Securities, a registered broker-dealer, certified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE), and Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), today announced the addition of CoinFund President Christopher Perkins to the Firm's Advisory Board.

Mr. Perkins comes to the Firm's Advisory Board after a 13-year career at Citigroup as a Managing Director and Global Co-Head of Futures, Clearing and FX Prime Brokerage. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Mr. Perkins' nine-year military career included service in Iraq during the Global War on Terrorism. He founded Citigroup's Military Veterans Networks and is the co-founder of "Veterans on Wall Street (VOWS)," an initiative dedicated to honoring former and current military personnel by facilitating career and business opportunities in the financial services industry. Mr. Perkins also recently launched Veterans In Digital Assets (VIDA), a non-profit initiative focused on identifying employment opportunities for veterans in the digital asset and crypto space. Additionally, Mr. Perkins is the President of CoinFund, a diverse investment firm focused on digital assets and decentralized technologies.

Mr. Perkins graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy, with distinction, and earned a Master of Arts in National Security Studie from Georgetown University.
