FTS (News - Alert) announced that an Australian billing bureau will be deploying its FTS express product on virtual platforms and in the cloud.
FTS, a provider of billing, customer care and policy control solutions for communications and content service providers, said that the billing bureau will be using FTS’ solutions to provide charging, billing and customer care services.
The analysis of events from a business standpoint by providers instead of just billing them enables them to better understand their customer base and leverage business value from every event and interaction. FTS enables this by providing a full range of end-to-end, stand-alone, add-on telecom billing and policy management solutions.
“This billing bureau is the perfect example of the kind of innovative new customers that we are working with at FTS,” Amos Sivan, CEO, FTS said in a statement. “The billing bureau approach, taking billing into the cloud, is an exciting new way for smaller service providers to receive the same kind of top-of-the-range billing functionality that our large carrier customers benefit from.”
The client specializes in providing billing services for communication service providers in Australia. FTS’ solutions are suitable for billing bureaus as they provide billing solutions in a cloud-based model and by using virtual machines.
This system allows FTS to reduce the deployment time for the billing bureau’s customers. As the billing bureau continues t grow, FTS’ products are being deployed on a virtual infrastructure which enables the dynamic increase of computing power, said officials.
This in turn allows easy launch of new services for a customer who needs additional billing or policy control capabilities.
According to FTS sources, the FTS express solution is a highly affordable, easy-to-deploy and a flexible telecom billing product that serves entry-level ISPs, VoIP, MVNO, LTE, WiMAX (News - Alert), Wi-Fi, and IPTV operations. This flexible solution matches future growth and expansion needs.
Also the all-in-one product offers online charging, billing, AAA, balance management, customer care, interconnect and policy control among others, added officials.
It was revealed that FTS’ billing and policy control solutions’ new virtual platforms can be used by large carriers to deploy green IT solutions. The FTS solutions on virtual machines involve less hardware, less power, less space and hence require lesser cooling arrangements. This makes the products more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
