Wholesale VoIP Company to Offer Free DID

By Carrie Schmelkin, TMCnet Web Editor

Vitelity Communications (News - Alert), a Colorado-based wholesale VoIP services provider, is now offering free direct inward dialing (DID) number porting on local and toll free numbers until June 25.

"This is great news for customers who are unhappy with their current service provider but can't move due to high porting fees," said Nicole MacHale, Vitelity’s vice president of customer service, in a statement. "Vitelity maintains a dedicated local number portability (LNP) department to ensure that the transition is as seamless as possible.”

New and existing customers with numbers that are in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico rate centers will be able to take advantage of the free porting offer. New customers can also reap the benefit of a 20 percent discount off the monthly service fee for all hosted PBX (News - Alert) and colocation services at Vitelity's recently-expanded telecommunication data center. Free bandwidth and power are included but conditions apply, company officials said.

Since 2003, Vitelity has served as one of the premier wholesale VoIP providers in North America. Vitelity, whose services include toll free origination, domestic origination, goal termination, and PBX hosting, manages over 8,000 rate centers – including Canada, Puerto Rico and Guam –  by peering with Tier 1 competitive local exchange carriers (CLEC's). Customers can easily manage the porting process and provision their numbers through Vitelity's robust user portal, according to company officials.

In related industry news, Global Convergence Solutions (News - Alert) (GCS), a Next Gen Network Solutions proprietary routing and rating company, had lots to look forward to at International Telecoms Week (ITW), particularly sharing the news that it has formed a strategic marketing initiative with Razorsight (News - Alert).

GCS and Razorsight, the leading cloud-based business intelligence and profit analytics solutions provider for the communications industry, unveiled their new initiative in Washington D.C. today, announcing that the initiative will allow both companies to jointly market, present and pursue global opportunities for their products and services by leveraging the existing sales, marketing and customer bases of both companies.

“We are very excited about this partnership with Razorsight,” said Neal Axelrad, CEO of GCS (News - Alert) in a statement. “By collaborating on marketing and sales opportunities, GCS & Razorsight will be able to address 99 percent of a carrier's back-office needs. This partnership reduces the sales cycle and allows our respective customers and prospects to gain a greater understanding of the entire solution set available to them in the market.”
