GCS Gears up for B/OSS Live Event

By Carrie Schmelkin, TMCnet Web Editor

Global Convergence Solutions (GCS)hasn’t even been back in New Jersey for that long following International Telecoms Week, but the Next Gen Network Solutions (News - Alert) company is already gearing up for another show, B/OSS Live.

This year, for the first time ever, GCS will join hundreds of professionals in the telecom market to hear about which business and operations support systems are necessary to employ to become leaders in the communications industry.

“As we continue to expand our presence in the marketplace and acquire market share, we want to make sure we are investing in opportunities that allow prospective customers to learn about GCS (News - Alert), our solutions and our value proposition,” GCS CEO Neal Axelrad told TMCnet. “The B/OSS trade show taking place in Washington D.C. is a highly focused event in the U.S. billing and operational support systems market and we are participating to make sure that the audience knows who we are, what we do and how we can help them.”

B/OSS Live!, which takes place from June 15-17, will feature keynote addresses, a Q&A corner, exhibitors and sessions about the cloud, the anatomy of a billion conversions and billing and merchandising.

GCS will join some of the top-level service providers as an exhibitor. Since 2006, GCS has aimed to reshape how communications service providers acquire, manipulate and disseminate information across disparate networks and technologies, according to company officials. The company’s two flagship products, the GCS Dynamic Route Manager and the GCS Dynamic Rate Manager, work to improve how carriers manage routing and maximize margins on existing traffic while optimizing how carriers manage  rate management, product pricing and supplier management functions.

When asked what GCS is most looking forward to about this event, Axelrad said, “learning what this set of buyers and users wants from their solutions providers.”

“We take great pride in our ability to focus and deliver what the marketplace wants and needs in terms of solutions and the only way to do that effectively is to leverage opportunities like BOSS Live and ‘interrogate’ the market,” he said. “We are looking forward to hearing what the marketplace wants and needs for today and also what they’ll need over the next 12-18 months.”

GCS has a lot to offer at its booth, particularly after it announced two new strategic partnerships at ITW. The Next Gen Network Solutions company will also talk about how its GCS Dynamic Solutions Suite is helping carriers address the complexities of inter-carrier management.

“The voice marketplace is under unbelievable pricing pressure as the technology curve allows more and more people to lower the cost of telephony services,” Axelrad said. “As a result, carriers themselves must significantly reduce their operating costs if they are going to be able to survive.  Our solution helps them do that and more.  In fact, our existing customers have told us that our solution actually increases margin on existing traffic while reducing operating costs.  That's the ‘one-two’ punch of our value proposition.”

The company is also looking forward to promoting its new partnerships with both EMS Financial Services and Razorsight (News - Alert). The former partnership will integrate GCS’s Dynamic Solution Platform technology with EMS TrafficNet to deliver major solution enhancements.

Meanwhile, GCS and Razorsight, the leading cloud-based business intelligence and profit analytics solutions provider for the communications industry, announced that their initiative will allow both companies to jointly market, present and pursue global opportunities for their products and services by leveraging the existing sales, marketing and customer bases of both companies.

“These partnerships are allowing us and our partners to provide a more holistic solution to the marketplace and the partnerships or ‘mash-ups’ of our solution is providing compelling value to the market,” Axelrad said.

Participants may visit GCS at Booth 218.
