iVoisys, an international broadband phone service provider, has selected GENBAND’s (News - Alert) A2 Converged Application Server to support the delivery of hosted services to subscribers across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. GENBAND is a partner of Global Convergence Solutions (News - Alert) (GCS), a proprietary rating and routing Next Gen Network Solutions company.
Leveraging GENBAND’s A2 Converged Application Server, the company will support the delivery of advanced session initiation protocol (SIP) voice, video, multimedia and Web collaboration services to wholesale and retail consumer and small business customers.
Innovative providers like iVoisys recognize that in order to grow and enhance their subscriber base, they need a reliable and scalable SIP applications server solution that can support the delivery of advanced communication capabilities like video, multimedia and web collaboration, said Pablo Gargiulo (News - Alert), president of Global Sales at GENBAND. He noted that iVoisys has selected GENBAND’s A2 to meet those needs.
“GENBAND’s A2 product is easily one of the most advanced multimedia application servers on the market and will be a key component of our future mobile and wireless offerings,” said Amadu Yahaya, chief operating officer at iVoisys.
With the help of GENBAND A2 platform’s capabilities, iVoisys expects to provide multimedia meet-me conferencing, Web-collaboration and advanced business and residential voice services to end-user desktops and mobile handsets.
The company also anticipates enjoying measurable improvements in network stability and reliability. Moreover, according to company officials, the company’s subscribers will benefit from more productivity-enhancing services, such as GENBAND’s Personal Agent, Video and Web Collaboration applications.
A carrier grade, full-featured telephony and multimedia applications server, GENBAND’s A2 Converged Application Server provides consumer, business, SIP trunking, and unified communication for Mobile, Fixed Line, Broadband and Cable Operators.
“GENBAND’s innovative SIP-based IP solutions and technical expertise help us improve our competitive advantage and continue our rapid growth in the hosted business and residential markets by seamlessly expanding our network, not just in Australia, but across the region,” Yahaya said.
Earlier this month, GENBAND announced that the acquisition of the Nortel (News - Alert) Carrier VoIP (CVAS) division significantly advanced the company’s network transformation and Internet Protocol (IP) migration portfolio.
