MetaVis Launches 'Back to School' SharePoint Webinar Series, Focusing on Office 365 for Education

MetaVis Technologies, a firm that develops software to help organize SharePoint and Office 365 environments for improved search and governance, has recently introduced a new "Back to School" SharePoint Webinar Series, which will focus on helping K-12 schools and universities optimize their use of SharePoint and Office 365 for education.

The webinar series will bring together SharePoint MVPs and education experts who will share their experiences to help schools around the globe successfully implement SharePoint as well as provide helpful tips which attendees can start using immediately.

The first event titled, “Using Office 365 in Education” has been scheduled for Wednesday, September 5 at 2 p.m. ET. During this webinar, SharePoint MVP, Alex Pearce, founder of BFC Networks, a U.K.-based company that specializes in SharePoint for education, will discuss Office 365 for Education and how a single school, group of academies and a whole council/district are already using Office 365 successfully today.

The other webinar-coined, “Using SharePoint to Cut Costs in Education” will be held on September 19 at 2 p.m. ET and will show attendees how to use SharePoint 2010 along with InfoPath and SharePoint Designer to create feature rich online forms to streamline education processes in order to better control costs.

Alan Richards, SharePoint expert and education consultant, will showcase practical skills that will help participants build workflow-based forms that will further reduce expenses and will provide users with all the data they need.

Lastly, scheduled for September 26 at 2 p.m. ET, “SharePoint v2.0 for Education – the Next Generation of Learning Platforms” will focus on the arrival of SharePoint 2007 as a learning platform for educational establishments across the world and how the completely revamped version of SharePoint 2010 has continually been adopted across the education sector.
