IS Support Adopts Windows 8, Newer Version of Office 365 to Measure Effects on Businesses
By Mandira Srivastava, TMCnet Contributor
IS Support, a Houston- based company that is deeply rooted in cloud technology and IT management, is all set to analyze the effects new technologies have over the way commerce occurs across the United States including the next version of Office 365, Office 2013.
The company will closely investigate the how Windows 8 and Microsoft (News - Alert) Office 2013 affect businesses overall in Houston. It has also started running Microsoft Windows 8 and Office 2013 on many of its computers and management systems with the goal of uncovering hidden technical challenges early. Issues such as application compatibility, networking and hardware device drives often plague a company when accurate, detailed testing is not completed ahead of time.
Microsoft is touted as powering the Office 365 productivity suite which includes Microsoft Office apps, Lync Online, SharePoint Online, and Exchange Online. So this means that users can access their Microsoft Office tools anywhere that has an Internet connection.
Microsoft has not revealed the price of its products until now. Therefore, it is hard to say which version of Office provides more capabilities to businesses.
"Windows 8 and Office 2013 have the potential to be game changers," said IS Support President and CEO Steve Combs, in a statement. "We need to be ready; that's why we are testing internally in our office and also running our Houston Tech BBQ series. We want Houston business owners to be informed prior to rushing out and buying the technology."
In other company news, IS Support has revealed that it will present a nine-month Houston Tech BBQ series that will focus on many of the latest technologies from Microsoft including Windows 8 and Microsoft Office 2013.
