Intermedia, a major Microsoft (News - Alert) Exchange hosting provider, recently announced that it has crossed the 500,000 subscriber mark. For the first time in the industry, an organization has hosted over 500,000 finest Microsoft Exchange mailboxes for clients and associates. An increasing number of organizations prefer Intermedia’s (News - Alert) Office in the cloud solution, which has been extensively promoted across the channel. As compared to last year, the number of customers using Intermedia services has increased by 40 percent.
In a release, Sara Radicati, president and CEO, The Radicati Group (News - Alert) said, "Intermedia is one of the largest and fastest growing Exchange providers in the market today, and we are pleased to see them reach the 500,000 subscriber milestone -- proving their success at offering a valuable channel program, for partners looking to resell a powerful solution under their own brand. The cloud levels the playing field for SMBs, helping them compete in today's fast-moving business environment. Intermedia's cloud services offer easy migration and a powerful set of control panels that are complemented by industry-leading customer support."
Intermedia's services for backup, mobility, security and voice have been merged with Microsoft services like Exchange, Lync and SharePoint by the Office in the Cloud solution. Recently, the company extended the compatibility of its HostPilot Control Panel and Partner Portal, to all mobile platforms with the introduction of Windows Mobile apps.
Last year, Intermedia's hosted Exchange 2010 was deployed by ATG (News - Alert) Stores for nearly 175 employees. The company is now able to safely administer its data in the cloud using the unified communications platform.
Michael Gold, president, Intermedia said, "At a time when the competition continues to commoditize their offerings, we are broadening our services and support, and enabling SMBs to improve how they communicate, collaborate and manage content. We understand that a customer's ability to communicate, manage their content and collaborate is vital -- and Intermedia offers the cloud services for businesses to do this cost-efficiently, securely and with premium services that not only drive their business forward, but that can be quickly adjusted, keeping up with the ever-changing marketplace."
According to Gold, the company’s customizable business-grade cloud services and the flexible control panel help in meeting the precise requirements of a business.
