Intermedia, a major Microsoft (News - Alert) Exchange hosting provider, recently announced that it has crossed the 500,000 subscriber mark. For the first time in the industry, an organization has hosted over 500,000 finest Microsoft Exchange mailboxes for clients and associates. An increasing number of organizations prefer Intermedia’s (News - Alert) Office in the cloud solution, which has been extensively promoted across the channel. As compared to last year, the number of customers using Intermedia services has increased by 40 percent.

Intermedia's services for backup, mobility, security and voice have been merged with Microsoft services like Exchange, Lync and SharePoint by the Office in the Cloud solution. Recently, the company extended the compatibility of its HostPilot Control Panel and Partner Portal, to all mobile platforms with the introduction of Windows Mobile apps.

Last year, Intermedia's hosted Exchange 2010 was deployed by ATG (News - Alert) Stores for nearly 175 employees. The company is now able to safely administer its data in the cloud using the unified communications platform.
