It was just revealed that Malta-based Smart Technologies Ltd was recently selected as a Microsoft (News

"Being formally recognized as a Microsoft strategic partner means a lot for us at Smart Technologies," said Christopher Demicoli, business development manager in a statement.
STL was one of the first local IT companies to have invested in the training of its resources in line with the Microsoft Office 365 offering in order to be able to help customers make the transition to this new technology platform as seamless as possible.
“We are putting a lot of effort into promoting the product and we are delighted that Microsoft is recognizing this and endorsing STL as a qualified partner in Office 365," he added.
Kevin Schembri, segment manager at Microsoft Malta, commented that Microsoft Office 365 is an enterprise-grade collaboration solution for large and small businesses that is now commercially available in Malta. “It is Microsoft's next-generation cloud productivity service for businesses of all sizes with the potential to fuel business and economic transformation by delivering cost-effective, flexible access to IT.”
Since it was launched only a couple of months ago, over 10,000 organizations around the world have signed up and begun testing Office 365, creating one of Microsoft's largest global beta programs for businesses.
"With Office 365, users can work from anywhere they are by just signing in to their account and accessing their applications and documents and according to their set preferred settings. When customers choose to migrate to the Office 365 platform, users not only benefit from 25Gb of mail storage as standard, but can also include a number of collaborative tools for users within the business which can help them be more productive whilst on the move and the services are backed up with failover facilities as additional benefit for the customer," Schembri concluded.
