ITWorx, a professional services organization and an expert in e-learning solutions, has revealed that it recently completed a successful large scale deployment of Microsoft (News - Alert) Office 365 in the region serving more than 100, 000 users across 100 schools in affiliation with a major public sector education institution in the Gulf.

The outstanding delivery coincides with the conclusion of a sleek integration of Office 365 for Education within the building blocks of the company's flagship K12 e-learning platform; ITWorx CLG (Connected Learning Gateway (News - Alert)).

Office 365 for Education is the new, advanced generation of Microsoft Live@edu. It is designed to provide academic institutions with secure, anywhere access to e-mail and calendars, instant messaging, group video and voice chat, and online document viewing and editing.The company underscored a strategic precedence in helping one of the top governmental education institutions in the Gulf to roll-out a nationwide deployment of Office 365. To date, 71,664 Office 365 accounts have been activated, reaching 125,000 by the end of October 2012 and covering about 200 schools by the end of year.During this process, the ITWorx team registered and configured a unique, official domain name for the customer; provisioned about 108,000 user accounts and mailboxes for students and teachers, and linked all this vital information to the customer's e-learning system and infrastructure.

By adding ample storage space (25GB) per user, the formula encourages increased e-mail exchange, more collaboration and real-time academic contributions, in addition to heightened document and information sharing in student-to-student, teacher-to-student, and teacher-to-teacher communications..
