SherWeb, a cloud services provider specializing in Microsoft (News

- Alert) to help resellers in the U.S and Canada. In fact, the company has just launched a new co-branded distribution model to Ingram Micro resellers, designed to address the issues associated with customer support.
The new distribution model will benefit both SherWeb and its resellers. As the demand for cloud-based solutions such as Hosted Exchange and Office 365 continues to grow, the newly created initiative will offer a consistent revenue stream for channel partners. The new model also complements SherWeb’s current white label reseller program and relieves resellers from the cost and responsibility of providing migration assistance and technical support to customers. Instead of contacting the resellers, customers can directly contact SherWeb’s technical support.
“One of the most common requests we hear from our partners is for support in the provisioning of new cloud services, and SherWeb is proactively addressing that barrier to entry with this integrated offering through Ingram Micro,” said Jason Bystrak, director of sales, services, Ingram Micro North America, in a statement.
“Working with vendors that accelerate the adoption of those cloud services, as well as easing adoption for both end users and our partners, is essential for taking advantage of that opportunity,” Bystrak further said.
Additionally, the Office 365 provider has identified that several solution providers, MSPs and VARs are reluctant to migrate to the cloud because of the cost and effort involved in providing technical support to the end-client. The new distributor model benefits resellers as they can offer the service of experienced technicians under their own brand. The program even allows partners to own the customer, set end-client pricing, and handle invoicing.
