It was not too long ago that Singapore-based firm Hersing Corporation came to the conclusion that it was in desperate need of a new cloud-based platform that could not only drive productivity and collaboration amongst its workforce, but also improve efficiency. This ultimately led the firm to adopt Office 365.
The company offers a suite of services that range from real estate and property management to money transfer and brand management services for clients such as Western Union (News

After both employees and agents at Hersing continued to realize that e-mail messages and attachments were not coming through as expected are were being extremely delayed, lost, or even corrupted, this in turn prompted the IT team to have to figure out what the problem was within the company's infrastructure each and every time. Thus, Hersing began to leverage third-party anti-phishing, anti-virus, and anti-spam solutions. These offerings not only ramped up the IT workload dramatically but caused costs to be raised sky high.
It was immediately seen that the organization needed to gain access to a standardized platform that would make it easier to collaborate and interact within a geographically separated workforce while cutting costs, and that was when it first tried out Google (News

"Google had gaps we would have had to fill with other solutions," says Jack Chua, chief executive officer, Hersing Corporation, in a statement. "But when we subscribed to Office 365, we had a working enterprise solution right from the start."
After forming a strategic alliance with Axiom IT Solutions, a Microsoft (News

And by early December, the company had completely ridden itself of its outdated e-mail product and moved 200 of its workers to Office 365. After a couple of months, more than a third of Hersing employees were able to easily utilize Office 365 for its array of capabilities including e-mail, calendars, and instant messaging while either in the office or on-the-go.
The piece added, “Internal e-mail messages are no longer delayed or lost across domains and employees can send and receive instant messages or share documents, no matter where they are or what device they use. Hersing estimated that it has saved up to $100,000 in infrastructure costs when it migrated from an on-premises environment to Office 365. With a cloud-based collaboration infrastructure, Hersing can scale and support its business growth without having to make large investments.”
At this time, Office 365 is heavily relied upon by over 5,500 organizations in Singapore alone. "In an increasingly complex and mobile business environment, leading businesses have responded positively to Office 365's value propositions of value, control and reliability," concluded Gerald Leo, lead for Microsoft Office Division, Microsoft Singapore.
