- Alert) has finally released a trial version of Office Pro 2013 and made it available for download. The new offering will allow customers to experience a taste of the next iteration in Microsoft’s popular program suite.
The MS Pro 2013 trial will include SharePoint, Exchange, Lync, Office and OneNote. Customers will be to try out the robust offering for a 60-day trial period. It is clear that by incorporating cloud connectivity and collaboration tools like SharePoint and Lync into the Pro 2013 suite, the company may be trying to nudge users to subscribe to its Office 365 service, which encompasses an array of cloud-based solutions.
If you feel that you would like to extend the usage of Office after the 60-day trial period has ended, Microsoft has made it real easy for you to decide which of the packages is most economic for your individual needs. As you might have guessed, the Office 365 subscription is the cheapest offering in the long run. In addition, Microsoft is looking to transition most users to its new subscription model.
Office 365 Home Premium will go for $99.99 per year and the Office 365 Small Business Premium will cost slightly more at $149.99 per year. If you feel that the subscription model is not your cup of tea, Microsoft still maintains the traditional licensing offering. With the traditional licensing model, Office Home & Student 2013 will cost $139.99 while the Office Home & Business 2013 will be priced at $219.99. The Office Professional 2013 is the most expensive offering at $399.99. Office 365 University is going for $1.67 per month or $79.99 for a four-year subscription.
To further incentivize consumers to leverage its Office 365 offering, Microsoft is offering a free upgrade to MS Office 2013 or a one-year subscription to Office 365 to anyone who purchases MS Office 2010 between now and April 30, 2013.
