Visaka Industries, the second largest cement sheet manufacturer in India, recently selected Microsoft (News - Alert) Office 365 to improve employee productivity, boost team communication and collaboration and save money.

Microsoft’s robust solution, Office 365 will help Visaka to resolve intermittent and unpredictable issues due to IT infrastructural bottlenecks that can lead to downtime, considerable IT overhead and productivity loss. The solution also allows the company to keep pace with its growth plans and ensure smooth communication and collaboration amongst the employees.

In a statement, Krishna Moorthi, president of IT, Visaka Industries stated, “The move to Office 365 has been remarkable so far as it brings cloud versions of Microsoft’s familiar Office productivity solutions, enabling our employees to start using the services immediately. We were also able to switch our employees from Google (News - Alert) Apps to Office 365 services in a short span of time, with no downtime. Microsoft Office 365 clearly out-shines Google Apps not only in ease of use but also in terms of reliability and manageability.”

Microsoft Office 365 successfully integrates with Visaka’s existing IT infrastructure as well as enables employees to migrate to cloud on their terms. Further, the deployment of the cloud-based platform has further helped Visaka Industries to drive stronger security and reliability within its network.

“We are confident that our technology, experience and resources will securely host Visaka Industries’ critical communication and collaboration services. Microsoft’s value proposition to enhance business productivity leaves Google Apps far behind”, added Ramkumar Pichai, general manager of the Microsoft Office Division, Microsoft India.

In related Office 365 news, TMC (News - Alert) reported that Akaibu, Inc., a software company that designs, develops, markets, sells and supports data migration management software, now supports data migration from archive systems to Microsoft Exchange and Office 365.
