Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), a business organization in India, chose Microsoft Office 365 over Google (News - Alert) Apps to realize better communication and collaboration in the cloud.
With Microsoft Office 365, one can get their work done securely and communicate in real-time from almost anywhere. It combines the collaboration, communication, and security features at an affordable cost.
FICCI reportedly conducted an in-depth market survey, and after evaluating the results deployed Office 365. Rajiv Mishra, additional director & head of IT at FICCI commented, “Microsoft (News - Alert) Office 365 emerged as a better fit with our overall IT strategy, as it is much more integrated and advanced than Google Apps and offers more of the functionality our employees need. Combined with the extended functionality in Lync Online, Office 365 offers much more enterprise value than Google.”
Office 365 also brings together Microsoft e-mail and calendars, Office Web Apps, web conferencing and file sharing in one highly secure, reliable, and flexible package.
Leveraging Office 365, FICCI hopes to seamlessly add more licenses on Microsoft Exchange and improve user collaboration in a virtual setting utilizing Lync. Some of the benefits FICCI will get to enjoy from Office 365 are: improved remote accessibility, easy active directory synchronization, advanced e-mail features like bigger e-mail box, secured e-mail transactions and more.
