SherWeb's SkyOffice is an Extension of Office 365

By Kayvon Ghoreshi, TMCnet Contributing Writer

When it comes to upgrading and managing your online Office suite, it can be a hassle and it can cost you a hefty chunk of change if you don’t know what you need. The two main players in this space have been Google (News - Alert), with Google Apps, and Microsoft, with Office 365. If you are a fan of Office 365, then you should consider SherWeb’s offering to replace or complement your current Office 365 subscription.

SherWeb’s suite is SkyOffice, and according to the company it “is the complete hosted e-mail and collaboration solution that begins where Microsoft (News - Alert) Office 365 ends.” SkyOffice comes complete with hosted Exchange 2010, Lync 2010, and Sharepoint 2010. It is offered in three general packages; standard, professional, and business. These packages vary in features and cost approximately $6, $8, and $13 per month respectively.

One of the highlighted features of SherWeb is its promise of extreme flexibility. A predetermined package is not the way to go for every business so the Office 365 provider will allow for personalized solutions and the ability to combine multiple SkyOffice plans so that you are getting exactly what you need without overpaying.

The other things that SherWeb possesses that makes it stand out from competitors in the space are its migration system and overall high level of customer service. Migrating e-mail data to a hosted environment can be a major headache especially if you have a lot of data. However, with the MIDAS migration system, you are guaranteed  a smooth transition to SkyOffice from virtually any legacy platform. Among the steps taken are preparatory testing and analysis of requirements, followed by the rerouting of e-mail servers, and finally a post migration check up to ensure everything is working smoothly. SherWeb even has customer service representatives available 24/7 and promises that the average hold time is a mere 30 seconds.

So if you have Office 365 or are thinking about switching, you may want to give SherWeb a look.
