BRIEF: Little Mountain writes in new mayor
NEWBERRY, Nov 09, 2012 (The Newberry Observer - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
The Town of Little Mountain will have a new mayor in January.
Marty Frick garnered 67 votes by way of write in since nobody petitioned to run for mayor.
Frick is a former council member for the town and is also involved with the Little Mountain Reunion Association.
Current mayor Buddy Johnson did garner 20 votes by way of write in. Johnson served as mayor for 16 years.
In Pomaria, Jim Wilson won the second seat with 22 out of 23 votes by way of write in for town council.
Then in the Soil and Water district, Doug Heydt garnered 42 write in votes winning that open seat. Carroll Frick was second with 21 votes.
The write in votes were just counted and finalized Friday.
