Media Alert - eBay Canada Hosts Holiday Pop-up Shop
TORONTO, Nov. 15, 2012, 2012 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX) --
Holiday shopping isn't what it used to
be. Consumers are skipping the busy malls and parking lots and turning
to online shopping. In fact, a recent survey by eBay Canada shows that
almost half of Canadians will turn to mobile and online shopping for
part or all of their holiday gift-buying.
"Canadians are increasingly looking to their mobile devices to solve
their holiday dilemmas," said eBay Canada Country Manager Andrea
Stairs. "You can shop anytime, anywhere inspiration hits with the eBay
Mobile app."
Bringing the mobile shopping experience to life, eBay Canada is opening
a three-day, outdoor Holiday Market in downtown Toronto beginning
November 15th. eBay's first Canadian pop-up shop will allow consumers -
any time of the day or night - to browse a curated collection of this
season's most inspired gift ideas and shop right from their phones or
tablets. Consumers across the country can also shop this curated gift
guide by going to eBay.ca/HolidayMarket.
HD b-roll including quotes from eBay Canada Country Manager Andrea
Stairs on the future of holiday shopping and results from the eBay
Holiday survey are available in the links and attachments below.
Interviews with eBay Canada are also available upon request.
