West Coast University and American Career College Sponsor "Swing for Autism"
IRVINE, Calif. --(Business Wire)--
For the third year, West Coast University and American Career College
are sponsoring Orange (News - Alert) County's "Swing for Autism" event. Proceeds from
the annual November golf outing benefit the New Vista School, which
promotes academic achievement and fosters independence for middle and
high school students with Aspergers syndrome, autism and language
learning disabilities.
"Autism continues to be a growing issue," said David Pyle, Executive
Chairman of the Board of West Coast University and founder and CEO of
American Career College. "It seems everyone knows someone who is touched
by autism - a family member, friend, or acquaintance. Sponsoring this
event is one way that the schools can make a positive difference in the
lives of real people in our community."
Giving back to the community is one of the founding principles of both
West Coast University and American Career College, and is evident in
many aspects of university life. First and foremost, students receive a
high-quality education, which is critical for providing quality health
care when they graduate and become professionals in the field. Beyond
academics, our schools give students many opportunities to volunteer at
health-related events throughout the Southern California communities
where our campuses are located. Both West Coast University and American
Career College demonstrate our commitment to improving the lives of
residents through philanthropic giving, such as Swing for Autism.
