Rebecca Patchin, MD Named Chair of The Joint Commission Board
SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)--
Rebecca J. Patchin, MD has been named the Chair of The Board of
Commissioners of The Joint Commission effective January 1, 2013. Dr.
Patchin has served on the Board since 2007 as a corporate member
appointed by the American Medical Association. Dr. Patchin is an
anesthesiologist and pain management specialist in Loma Linda, CA (News - Alert). She
is also assistant professor of anesthesiology at Loma Linda University
School of Medicine, from which she received her medical degree in 1989,
and serves on the medical staff of Loma Linda University Medical Center.
Active in organized medicine, Dr. Patchin has been a member of the
American Medical Association Board of Trustees, 2003-2011, serving as
chair in 2009-2010. She has been a director of both the California
Medical Association and the California Society of Anesthesiologists. Dr.
Patchin has served as a director of NORCAL Mutual Insurance Company
since 2011.
