Shares of Bon-Ton Stores Rank the Highest in Terms of Debt to Asset Ratio in the Department Stores Industry (BONT, JWN, M, KSS, JCP)

Dec 13, 2012 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX) -- Below are the three companies in the Department Stores industry with the highest debt to asset ratios. The Debt/Asset ratio shows the proportion of a company's assets that are financed through debt. If the ratio is greater than one, most of the company's assets are financed through debt.Bon-Ton Stores ranks highest with a a debt to asset ratio of 0.56. Following is Nordstrom with a a debt to asset ratio of 0.38. Macy's ranks third highest with a a debt to asset ratio of 0.31.


Kohl's follows with a a debt to asset ratio of 0.30, and JC Penney rounds out the top five with a a debt to asset ratio of 0.27.
