Get a free USB gadget with a Buy Local card [Grimsby Telegraph (UK)]
(Grimsby Telegraph (UK) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) AFAMILY-run computer business has said it has seen a rise in interest since signing up for the Buy Local campaign.
The owners of Maxwell Computers are offering free USB gadgets with every purchase when bought with a loyalty card.
The shop, based on Gilliatt Street in Scunthorpe, was set up eight years ago. It now employs 12 staff.
Mike Linehan, head of sales at the firm, said that local people had shown even more interest than usual since the business signed up to the campaign.
"We have had more people popping in just to see what the shop is all about and some of them have been using their loyalty cards and walking out very happy with the free goods"," he said. "The free USB mug warmers have been extremely popular. We have also seen an increase in people bringing their PCs in for repair.
"All of our engineers are qualified to very high standards and we like to get it right first time, every time, so this is a very good place to come to with a problematic computer."
The company runs a promotional competition each month.
Mike said the reason for the customer satisfaction was the level of service.
"The real reason our customers find us and stay with us is because of the great personal service we have to offer," he said.
"That kind of service is what buying local is all about."
Maxwell Computers is open from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday and between 9am and 5pm on Friday and Saturday.
