O'Malley Named Sibson's Higher Education Compensation Practice Leader
NEW YORK --(Business Wire)--
Joseph A. LoCicero, President and CEO of The
Segal Company has announced that Michael O'Malley (News - Alert), Ph.D. has
been named Sibson
Consulting's Higher Education Compensation Practice Leader. Mr.
LoCicero said, "Mike's skills, experience and expertise make him
uniquely qualified for this position and we are thrilled that he has
accepted this new responsibility. It is natural progression for Mike
since he is already working with many higher education clients and he
has taught and served in other capacities at the university level."

Dr. O'Malley joined Sibson in June 2012 as Vice President and Senior
Consultant. Before joining Sibson, he spent 15 years in consulting
with the Promontory Financial, Hay Group, Mercer and Pearl Meyer/Clark
consulting firms and led his own consulting business (O'Malley &
Associates). He has also served Yale University Press as Executive
Editor in Business, Economics and Law.
Dr. O'Malley has taught at the university level (Columbia University
Business School and University of Colorado), written multiple books and
articles on compensation, leadership and talent management, been cited
widely in the business and financial media and spoken at multiple
corporate executive events. He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Case
Western Reserve University and a Ph.D. in Social Psychology and
Quantitative Methods from Vanderbilt University. Dr. O'Malley is a
Certified Life Underwriter (CLU) and a Chartered Financial Consultant
Dr. O'Malley is working out of the firm's New York Office.
