Canada : TELUS set to expand fibre services [TendersInfo (India)]
(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Telus, a national telecommunications company in Canada, is making investment of CAD 16 million to expand its fibre services in 2012.
Under its plan, the operator will directly connect majority of Comox, Courtenay and Cumberland homes with fibre services. Telus will offer faster internet service and Optik TV service. Using GPON technology, customers will be able to access internet speeds of up to 50Mbps. With fibre services, for the first time customers in these areas can access Optik TV.
Telus offers a wide range of telecommunications services such as internet access, voice, entertainment, video and satellite television.
