BRIEF: Man arrested, charged in Elegante shooting death

A man has been arrested in connection with the November shooting death of 29-year-old John Anthony Munroy.
According to an Odessa Police Department news release, 34-year-old Eric Wayne Hill was arrested by the Dallas Police Department and was being held without bond Monday at the Dallas County Jail on a charge of murder.
Odessa police responded just after 1 a.m. Nov. 11 at the MCM Elegante parking lot to find Munroy dead with a gunshot wound to the head.
A previous story in the Odessa American cites ICA Properties President Ed Lasater as saying a rowdy group of people was denied access to the bar without incident around that time.
Lasater said security patrols were stationed inside the bar, and neither the people who tried to enter nor the victim were guests at the hotel.
According to an Odessa Police Department news release, the Texas Department of Public Safety, Dallas Police Department, Louisiana State Police, Odessa Crime Stoppers and Minden, La., Police Department assisted in the investigation.
