Former XM Canada CEO to head Panasonic's Canadian operations
(Canadian Press DataFile Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) TORONTO _ The former head of satellite radio company XM Canada will soon lead the Canadian division of electronics manufacturer Panasonic Corp.
Michael Moskowitz, who served at XM Canada from 2008 to 2011, takes the new job on April 1.
He replaces Ian Vatcher who plans to retire, the company said.
Moskowitz currently works as Panasonic's executive vice-president for the consumer and business divisions in Canada, a position he has held since Aug. 2011.
"We welcome Michael's dynamic thinking, impressive industry knowledge and drive to continually innovate. He will be a strong leader in Panasonic's future strategy," said Joseph Taylor, chief executive of Panasonic's North American operations.
