BRIEF: Zahid Tractor Open tees off tomorrow
RIYADH, Feb 14, 2013 (Arab News - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
Dirab Golf & Country Club holds its third tournament of 2013 tomorrow when a full field of 110 players tees it up shotgun style at 8 a.m. for the 7th Zahid Tractor Open Golf Tournament.
Leading the chase for prizes in the 18 holes stroke play event are the members of the Saudi national team under coach Ali Balherith.
The tournament with three handicap categories in the men's division and one in the ladies division will serve as the final tuneup for the Saudi team before its campaign in the GCC championship scheduled Feb. 23-26 at the Almouj Golf at The Wave in Muscat, Oman. The team will travel to Muscat on Feb. 20.
Participants will each receive a goody bag from title sponsor Zahid Tractor. The giveaways include Cutter & Buck shirt and cap, Titleist Pro VI ball and Foot Joy gloves. Breakfast and lunch are to be served at the tournament.
Zahid Tractor is another in a line of corporate sponsors with a long history of cooperation with Dirab golf club.
