BRIEF: Concordia police chief resigns
CONCORDIA, Feb 13, 2013 (The Salina Journal - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) --
Concordia Police Chief Chris Edin has resigned, KNCK radio station in Concordia reported on its website, ncktoday.com, on Wednesday.
Concordia City Manager Larry Uri announced to the station that Edin's resignation is effective immediately.
Uri has not returned phone calls to the Journal. Officials at the police department were unavailable Wednesday afternoon.
Edin's resignation comes one week after he was placed on paid administrative leave in the wake of allegations of misconduct.
Cloud County District Court documents detail Sara Heisen's allegations that she was sexually harassed at work. According to a petition from stalking filed by Heisen, Edin offered Heisen promotions in exchange for sexual favors.
