In an effort to improve business productivity, Trilog Group, Inc., a provider of social project management solutions for IBM (News - Alert) social business platforms and the IBM SmartCloud for Social Business, has unveiled new social project management offerings, namely ProjExec social project management software, ProjExec Live, ProjExec 5.1 for IBM Connections, and ProjExec 5.1 for IBM Lotus Quickr.
Designed to help organizations around the globe to complete projects more effectively, the company’s new ProjExec social project management software not only provides functionality and management capabilities required by professional project managers, but also facilitates execution of business processes by combining the features of a social collaboration platform.
The core attractive feature of ProjExec is the Facebook (News - Alert)-like user interface called the Project Wall. The Project Wall offers: a powerful multi-project activity stream with micro-blogging; event aggregation capabilities that streamline communications on multiple projects simultaneously; and visibility across project activities and project-related information.
“Social Project Management is not an attempt to change the discipline of project management,” said Alex Homsi, president and CEO, Trilog Group (News - Alert), in a statement. “Rather, we're empowering people by managing the "social side" of projects and making the experience more enjoyable. The Project Wall does just that. It gets people engaged and fosters social sharing, resulting in better project outcomes.”
With the help of ProjExec’s Project Wall, project management processes are now integrated with IBM Connections Profiles, Activities, Communities and Files, as well as IBM Lotus Quickr Files and Spaces.
Another new offering by Trilog is the ProjExec Live. Delivered as an integrated cloud application with IBM SmartCloud for Social Business, it is a cloud-based social project management software that extends the IBM SmartCloud for Social Business service to deliver the social project collaboration experience built around the structure of a real project plan.
Apart from ProjExec and ProjExec Live, Trilog has also unveiled ProjExec 5.1 for IBM Connections, and ProjExec 5.1 for IBM Lotus Quickr.
Available for the most recent versions of IBM Connections and IBM Lotus Quickr, the ProjExec 5.1 deliver the same powerful social project management capabilities to on-premise IBM social software customers, say officials with Trilog.
“Project teams are social entities, embedded in multiple social networks both inside and outside an organization,” said Randall Washington, VP Business Development, Trilog Group, in a statement. “ProjExec 5.1 and ProjExec Live empower project teams to tap into those social networks to complete project goals and leverage those connections to better communicate with the greater project community across organizational boundaries.”
“ProjExec Live makes Social Project Management instantly available to organizations of all sizes", added Alex Homsi. "By offering enterprise-class project management capabilities to the IBM SmartCloud for Social Business, we're delivering a best-in-class, highly effective social collaboration environment for project teams across the globe."
