eFileCabinet Releases Advanced Workflow Module for Document Management

By Rajani Baburajan, TMCnet Contributor

Document management solutions help organizations streamline workflow and improve business efficiency. These solutions find adoption among all types of organizations.

Recently, eFileCabinet, a provider of paperless software solutions, has released its Advanced Workflow tool for its document management solution.

Businesses benefit from the latest feature as they can quickly move their manual paper-based workflow processes to electronic routing within the eFileCabinet Document Management system, so they can be more efficient and eliminate the woes associated with document management.

eFileCabinet comes with several time-saving features. They include features like conditional routing to a user or group with custom messaging and the allocation of document permissions to maintain security.

The solution also allows users to automatically move and/or copy a file to another folder during the workflow process. With this they get the opportunity to approve or deny files and view documents right from the Workflow dialogue window.

Another feature added to the eFileCabinet is the ability to assign document profiles or metadata at the start of the workflow process so data remains with the file. It also has the capability to preset document retention.

“While the Workflow tool has been a part of eFileCabinet for quite some time, the Advanced Workflow module delivers a more robust and time-saving experience for the user," said Matt Peterson, president & CEO of eFileCabinet, in a statement.

“We gathered feedback from our customers across many of the markets we serve and have made enhancements to the entire process to make it more intuitive while adding several features that truly allow the system to automate the transferring of documents from user to user in any business environment,” Peterson added.

eFileCabinet's Advanced Workflow is now available for customers.

Research and Markets recently noted that the global document management system (DMS) market has been witnessing potential growth from Small and Medium-sized Business (SMB) Segment. One of the key factors contributing to this market growth is the government initiatives to promote DMS.

However, the research agency noted that limited market awareness of DMS poses the biggest challenge in adoption of DMS solution. Key vendors dominating this market space include IBM , OpenText , EMC (News - Alert) , and Microsoft.
