Autodesk (News - Alert) Inventor 3D CAD software products provide a comprehensive, flexible set of software for 3D mechanical design, product simulation, tooling creation, engineer to order, and design communication. By allowing it to produce an accurate 3D model that can help it design, visualize, and simulate user’s products before they are built, Inventor takes users beyond 3D to Digital Prototyping.

Recently, the company announced that California Analytical Instruments, Inc. (CAI) as the Autodesk July Inventor of the Month.

This award was given to CAI for utilizing Autodesk Inventor software and other digital prototyping tools. CAI developed gas analyzers and custom systems that assist companies in monitoring and measuring the emission of greenhouse gases.

To monitor emissions from a wide variety of pollutant sources, including smokestacks, power plants, refineries and machines powered by internal combustion engines — a category that runs the gamut from automobiles to lawnmowers, CAI has more than 1,700 customers in various industries that use its gas analyzers and systems.

Digital Prototyping with Inventor helps companies design better products, reduce development costs, and get to market faster, the company stated in a press release.

“With Digital Prototyping tools from Autodesk, CAI is able to innovate on behalf of its customers in less time and with less overall cost,” said Brenda Discher, vice president, Manufacturing Industry Strategy and Marketing at Autodesk. “This puts CAI’s analyzers in the hands of customers sooner, giving them the tools they need to lessen their impact on the environment, helping to create a path to a greener future.”

Recently, the company announced that worldwide manufacturers have selected Autodesk Product Design Suite and other Digital Prototyping solutions from Autodesk, Inc. over competitor products in recent months.
