EarthLink and Payrolling Collaborate on Hosted Data Center
December 14, 2012
The Mexico City-based payroll and human resourcing giant, Payrolling, has enlisted EarthLink to create a comprehensive virtual data center for the company.
Payrolling provides services for many of the largest financial institutions, airlines and other major corporations from around the globe. In light of substantial growth of late, it has decided it needed a center that would maintain a dedicated server with platinum-level managed hosting, dedicated hosted e-mail, a hosted network security system, and an internal/external vulnerability and audit assessments program.
Earthlink (News - Alert), Inc. has been contracted to create a solution for Payrolling’s needs.
Payrolling has been in existence for more than 15 years, having worked with the upper echelon of corporations throughout its existence. The sensitive nature of many of its customers, and the growing number enlisting in Payrolling’s services, has made company officials realize their current system in Mexico was unable to heed growing demand.
Information Technology and Implementation Manager for Payrolling, Marcelo Ahuerma, explored his options with 10 separate companies before he made his decision to pursue Earthlink, whose rapid response, ease of customization and solutions, and industry comprehension proved to be superior to any of the other company he researched.
Ahuerma says EarthLink spent a full day with them during the evaluation process, “working to truly understand our needs, and suggested a better alternative to the architecture we originally proposed.”
He was impressed by their expertise; “With their level of knowledge, we knew we found the right partner,” he said. “EarthLink was the only data center provider that offered everything we wanted and delivered a long-term solution that can grow with us.”
Ahuerma called moving their data center to EarthLink “the best business decision we have made.” As a result, he says, the company is “better prepared to grow” and “can compete more effectively for clients that demand the highest level of security.”
