When 140,000 small businesses, not-for-profit entities, and even individuals are using a service like Mad Mimi, so calling it “popular” is a pretty safe bet. The do-it-yourself E-mail marketing platform offers a lot of opportunity for those trying to make some sales in the midst of the slow economy, but it's often easy to look at as product or service, and ask “what else it can do?” Enter Action Packed Media, who decided to step things up a notch and offer a little help for Mad Mimi users with Managed for Mimi.

Managed for Mimi takes an already robust offering in Mad Mimi and advances it to the next level by offering a fuller set of managed services. While Mad Mimi offers a sound package in itself, allowing users to send out E-mail newsletters and the ability promote their goods and services; Managed for Mimi offers a more complete array of marketing capability, including full E-mail campaigns, as well as the ability to have content generated for these e-mail newsletters and the like.

Those signing up for Managed for Mimi service will put up their initial payment of $99, and then receive an initial consultation call from one of Managed for Mimi's “content marketing maestros,” who will then discuss the plans for the brand involved, as well as how Managed for Mimi's offerings can best help make sales for the firm or individual using them. From there, users can select their desired plan from four offerings, depending on the level of service desired, starting at $199 per month for the “Silver” plan, going all the way up to $599 per month for the “Platinum Plus” plan.

While plenty of users will look at this concept with a scoff, convinced that they can write the best copy for their own business, this is more for those who aren't so sure about their skills, or for those who may have the skills, but not the time. Good writing commonly takes both skill and time, and without both of these in at least some measure, the message will likely be lost.

Action Packed Media has delivered content to a wide array of users, including MTV and Zagat, so their chances of doing well in any individual case are sound enough. This isn't Mad Mimi's first expansion, either, having previously included Chrome app integration, as well as integration with Etsy (News - Alert) to provide more value in more places.

Naturally, each individual case may or may not be a success going the Managed for Mimi route, but as is the case with anything in business, success is never assured. Rather, this is a means to get a better chance at seizing that brass ring by increasing engagement and attempting to forge more relationships in the field. It may not be for every company, but it's certainly worth a closer inspection to see if it's right in any one circumstance.
