TELUS Brings More Cloud Solutions to Canada
November 21, 2014
Businesses looking for a competitive edge are turning to cloud services more and more. Not only is it possible to cut costs, but having solutions hosted also means more time to focus on customers, and other business needs.
If you’re operating a call center, the cloud can be of particular importance because it means secure, scalable solutions can become part of your collaboration and communications arsenal.
To help businesses in Canada continue with the success they’ve seen by turning to the cloud, TELUS (News - Alert) has announced it is now offering two new solutions that make it easier for businesses to use cloud technologies.
"For Canadian businesses looking for a competitive edge, cloud-based services can optimize employee productivity and improve customer service, while reducing technology expenditures," said Peter Green, senior vice president and president of TELUS Business Solutions. "TELUS' new cloud offerings eliminate the financial barriers to adopting best-in-class solutions, putting them within reach of businesses of any size."
The new TELUS Cloud Collaboration and Cloud Contact Centre offerings, which are powered by the Cisco (News - Alert) Hosted Collaboration Solution, provide a way for businesses to use cloud offerings to improve communications with customers, employees and partners.
Specifically, the Cloud Collaboration offering provides a full suite of UC services that meet the expanding communications needs of workers including increasing use of mobile devices. Tools like IM, video conferencing and presence are all key to collaboration needs for today’s workers who want to be efficient.
The Cloud Contact Centre offering is a fully featured contact center solution that is hosted in the cloud and answers to the increasing need from customers to be answered quickly and via the platform of their choice. The offering provides all the tools needed for today’s call center needs and is scalable and can grow along with company needs for more agents. It also allows agents to work from any location.
"By harnessing the possibilities of cloud technology, TELUS is providing its customers with innovative and cost-effective business solutions," said Mark Kummer, vice president, service provider, Cisco Canada. "TELUS is proving itself to be one of Canada's most customer-focused service providers and is at the forefront of helping businesses benefit from cloud services."
